                               Welcome to LP Gas Limited 
 
 

  To use LP Gas for domestic purpose LP Gas plant at Chittagong 
  was established in 1978 under the supervision of Bangladesh 
  Petroleum Corporation, later on in 1983 this plant was converted into 
  a Private Limited Company having 100% share owned by 
  Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation. This company was given the 
  responsibilities of supplying LPG throughout the country as an 
  alternative fuel to firewood and kerosene. 

  The Chittagong LPG plant has bottling capacity of 10,000 M.ton of 
  LPG per shift per year though its average production is 13,000 
  M.ton per year over the last five years. The bottled LPG is being 
  marketed through three marketing companies of BPC. The other 
  plant of the company at Kailashtila, Sylhet has been bottling over 
  7,000 M.tons per year. This company on an average has been 
  supplying over 20,000 M.tons of LPG to various parts of the country 
  which is roughly 15%-20% of the current demand. 

  The company has its registered office located in Chittagong. The 
  company has total of 69 manpower in Chittagong plant and 53 
  manpower in Sylhet plant among which 21 are officers in both plant. 

  This company was formed in a Public Limited Company in the year 
  1988 with enhancement of authorized and paid up capital to 
  undertake more development projects in line with business. At 
  present apart from POCL, JOCL, MPL, companies of BPC, SAOCL 
  is also engaged in marketing LPG bottled by the company all over the 
  country. Besides this a company named Jamuna Spacetech joint 
  Venture Ltd. also takes bulk LPG from this company for domestic 
  use and Bangladesh Oxygen Ltd takes LPG for industrial uses.
