STATUS OF EASTERN LUBRICANTS BLENDERS LIMITED 

Eastern Lubricants Blenders Limited was formed in October, 1963 as a Private Company and was converted into a Public Company under the name and style of East Pakistan Lubricants Blenders Limited having its Registered Office at Chittagong and these was changed to Eastern Lubricants Blenders Limited after liberation. In 1985 BOC Group sold out their 49% shareholdings of ELBL to Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation. 

(a) Eastern Lubricants Blenders Limited has shareholdings of both Public & Private Sectors. 

(b) Eastern Lubricants Blenders Limited' share is enlisted with Dhaka Stock Exchange. 
 

MANAGEMENT :  

Eastern Lubricants Blenders Limited is managed by the Board of Directors, nominated by Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation. The present Board of Directors consists of 5(Five) Members :

NATURE OF BUSINESS: 

Initially Eastern Lubricants Blenders Limited was engaged in Blending and Marketing of Lubricants but since July, 1989 it is confined in blending activity only. 

ELBL blends as per requisition of Marketing Companies such as Padma Oil Company Limited, Meghna Petroleum Limited and Jamuna Oil Company Limited. ELBL blends the under-noted grades of lubricants : 

i) Industrial Grade 
ii) Automotive Oil SF/CC (MIN) High Additive 
iii) Automotive Oil SC/CC (MIN) 
iv) Gear Oil GL-4, GL-5 
v) Crank Oil 
vi) Turbine Oil 
vii) Automotive Oil SC/CC (MIN) ½/1/4/5/18 Ltrs Can. 
viii) Automotive Oil SF/CC (MIN) High Additive ½ /1/4/5/18 Ltrs. Can. 
ix) Automotive Gear Oil GL-4, ½/1/4/5 Ltrs. Can. 
x) Automotive Gear Oil GL-5, ½/1/4/5 Ltrs. Can.
